Eligible pre-owned golf clubs sold through SKRATCH GOLF include a 12-month SKRATCH GOLF warranty from the date of delivery.
The warranty is designed to give extra reassurance when buying pre-owned equipment. It is provided in addition to your statutory rights and does not replace, restrict or reduce them.
What the warranty covers
The warranty covers eligible faults or defects that arise during normal golf use and are attributable to an inherent defect in the club, its materials, workmanship or assembly.
Depending on the nature of the fault, this may include defects affecting the clubhead, shaft or the way the club has been assembled, subject to inspection by SKRATCH GOLF.
What the warranty does not cover
The SKRATCH GOLF warranty does not cover:
- Cosmetic wear, marks or imperfections that were shown in the product photographs or described in the listing when you bought the club.
- Normal wear and tear arising through use, including normal deterioration of finishes, faces, grooves and other cosmetic surfaces.
- Normal grip wear or replacement of grips as a routine wear item.
- Accidental damage, misuse, neglect, abuse or damage caused by use outside normal golfing activity.
- Damage caused by improper storage or transportation after delivery.
- Faults or damage resulting from alterations, repairs or modifications made after delivery without prior agreement from SKRATCH GOLF.
- Loss or theft.
Making a warranty claim
If you believe your club has developed a fault, stop using it and contact SKRATCH GOLF with your order details and a description of the problem. We may ask for photographs or video so that we can assess the issue before arranging a return.
Please do not arrange a repair or modification before we have assessed the claim, as this can make it difficult to determine the cause of the fault.
What happens if a warranty claim is accepted?
Once the club has been inspected, the appropriate warranty solution will depend on the nature of the fault and the availability of comparable pre-owned stock. We may repair the club, replace it with a comparable item, issue appropriate store credit or provide a refund.
For an accepted warranty claim, or where an item is faulty, incorrect or materially not as described, SKRATCH GOLF will cover reasonable return postage costs or provide an appropriate return method.
Pre-owned condition and exact-item photographs
Pre-owned clubs naturally show different levels of cosmetic wear. Our product listing and photographs form part of the condition description, and the photographs show the actual item offered for sale wherever stated. Cosmetic condition that was clearly disclosed when the club was purchased is not treated as a warranty fault.
Your statutory rights
The SKRATCH GOLF 12-month warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty. UK consumer law provides separate rights where goods are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. Those rights may continue beyond the period of this warranty.
Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights.
